Jackie is allowing me to share her story help others who may have similar hair loss issues.
"I have frontal fibrosing scarring alopecia. My hairline has receded multiple inches in a headband pattern, in addition to losing hair in small patches in a few areas of the scalp (though those areas are due to standard female pattern baldness).
I have never consulted anyone and would prefer to not wear a wig. When I saw your site (after a google search of wig shops in State College), I actually started crying. Knowing that the hair that I've already lost will never, ever return, as well as not knowing how much I will continue to lose, has been devastating.
I am interested in learning more about my options so that I don't have to feel "less than" or as self-conscious anymore." Jackie
With tears of joy, "I look like me again. I never thought I would. I love it!" Jackie
"I think the photos speak for themselves. Jackie is a joy to work with."
"After meeting with Jackie and listening to her concerns and hair loss history, I was able to understand what she has endured and what her future hair needs may be."
"My goal was to create something that matched her busy lifestyle, hair care routine that was natural looking and easy for her to do herself. Jackie had special needs as a high energy singer in the band "TV Blonde"
, she is often in hot settings with hot lights shining on her, so I needed to ensure her new style would stand perspiration, and lots of hair flipping.
I matched Jackie's hair type, length, and curl pattern then I created a custom daily wear human hair topper with a natural hairline and part that she could easily and securely attach. It blends nicely with her hair and makes her feel beautiful and confident." I love seeing her so happy." Janise

A note from Jackie after living in her new hair awhile:
"I no longer walk with my head down out of worry that someone will notice the scarring and the recession. It's taken a little time to get used to having the wind blow hair in my face, as there hadn't been enough on the side to whip around! :) I really, really can't thank you enough. Finding your service was a a blessing, but your kindness, expertise, and genuine care and concern for me was truly remarkable." Jackie W. Read more of Jackie's comments
Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (FFA) is a form of lichen planopilaris that is characterized primarily by slowly progressive hair loss (alopecia) and scarring on the scalp near the forehead. In some cases, the eyebrows, eye lashes and/or other parts of the body may be involved, as well. Although it has been suggested that FFA may be due to hormonal changes or an autoimmune response, the exact cause of this condition is not yet known. There is currently no cure for FFA; however, treatment with certain types of medications may stop or slow hair loss in some cases.
